- Explain the key considerations in planning for compliance with the proposed requirements and incorporating Universal Design principles to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse population (including people with disabilities, older people, and others)
- Evaluate tools, techniques, and resources for designing and altering facilities to ensure compliance with the proposed requirements of the ADA (a civil rights law), as well as accessibility codes adopted by state and local code authorities
